A week back, VAST Ambassador Jun Jo embarked on a journey through Indonesia. Spending most of his time in Java, an island that is home to 57% of the Indonesian population, and a place that is all about the land, and it's inhabitants. There was limited cell-phone reception, but Java is a cultural superpower; much of Indonesian history took place on the island, its cultural legacy spreads far beyond Indonesia.
"Time just really slows down on Java, the scenery and nature is absolutely beautiful, and the geography is remarkable. Life really slowed down, and it was one of the most beautiful trips I've ever been on." - Jun Jo
